As usual, after Eid prayer, the ZZ clans would gather at the living hall for the apologizing session, after we listened to the elders' morning speeches. Sounds formal? Actually it wasn't anything like that. The 1st of Syawal normally filled with sincerity, tranquility, happiness, and so much more.
The maaf-bermaafan session would be started by the eldest siblings followed by the youngest - which means, my grandparents' children would line up first (my uncles and aunts), before the grandchildren (me and other cousins).
So the story began when my uncles and aunts were lining up. We, the grandchildren, stood beside waiting for our turns. My little cousins who are just 5 and 6 years old ni were all excited and nervous (I guess).
*Amna, Alyaa and Hana came to me.
Them : Tak tau la nak buat apa (cakap sambil sengih-sengih)
Me : Ala senang je. Nanti salam tokki, tok puan, dengan tok nek (our moyang).
Them : Tapi tak tau nak cakap apa.
Me : Cakap la, "Selamat Hari Raya, Maaf Zahir Batin". Macam dalam TV tu.
Them : Ooo macam tu eh? Okay-okay.
*And they started rehearsing cutely :-P
Motif kepada cerita ini adalah ... Tak ada motif. Saja nak cerita. Kbye :-D
