Hello cats and birds!
Since I have some free time right now, I'm gonna scribble few things about my wedding day.
Well to be frank, I did not have sufficient time to prepare everything accordingly. I got engaged to the man I love for about 5 months but only began preparing everything in less than 3 months. Couldn't really blame anyone bcs I admit, I kinda took things for granted 😅
I know some people took about one whole year, (or at least 6 months) to prepare everything, from bookings of the hall, finding event planner, looking for the best MUA, search high and low for wedding dress materials, bookings of flight ticket/hotel for honeymoon, etc etc etc.
Mine was a bit rushing I would say bcs I did everything at the last minute. Ladiesss please don't do it like I did 😋 The check up, submitting all forms, wedding card designs and printings, finding door gifts, the goodie bags, meeting with tailors and so on.
One of the vital things (esp for bride-to-be) is finding the best MUA. There were few people in the list of my fav MUA but mommy took a full wedding package with one of her good friends. That's a relief too bcs you know, when you wanted to hire these MUAs approximately a month before the actual date, normally you will only receive rejection. They were fully booked, prolly bcs it was during short holiday + hari raya aidiladha + the date itself is quite nice 16.09.16 😉
Alhamdulillah I got things sorted out on time 😀
Okay, talking 'bout the package. The wedding package involves :
- bride and groom full suits (solemnization + reception)
- make up (solemnization + reception)
- catering (for 1000pax + 100pax on wedding day)
- 100 pcs doorgifts
- photographer + album
- 500pcs wedding cards (did not take this bcs mine was sponsored by my employer)
- sound system
- wedding cake
- pelamin
- meja makan pengantin (with deco)
- photo booth
- we requested candy booth too
- and everything else
Of course, nothing's perfect so there were pros and cons too.
FIRST, I did not get the wedding cake which I requested (the design they showed earlier was different from the one I received on my wedding day) *Nonetheless, the cake was delish 😋
SECOND, They did not play the songs I provided. Thing is, they requested for the list of songs. So I personally chose the songs, emailed and even gave them the mp3 files, with a list (when to play what songs etc). Apparently the guy played his fav songs instead (When my parents made some sort of complaint, they were told that the songs I gave were not suitable to be played on wedding day)
- Excuse you, it was all love songs with no negative lyrics/influences. I even put several Maher Zain songs which I like and they DID NOT play 'em too. To be fair, even if the songs were not suitable, they could have told me earlier. I was sooo pissed but could not do anything since I was busy that day. I realised the songs being played were different when they did my make up, but I did not get the chance to go and inform anyone 😢 I thought it would be better to just ignore everything but once you kept inside, and then you remembered, you get pissed again. Like how I feel now 😴
THIRD, the design for the photo booth was ........ I mean they could have done better. They did the pelamin and room nicely, even the meja makan pengantin was lovely. Everyone likes it. But I dislike looking at the photo booth, it was far from what an experienced wedding planner would & should do.
Actually there were few others, but that's 3 main things that bother me for quite some time.
Nonetheless, I'm so glad and thankful the reception went well.
Pictures turned out great too (Thats important 😚)
From the bottom of our hearts, we would like to thank everyone who helped us in making the wedding ceremony a success. We would also like to apologize for any inconveniences, any lacking sepanjang majlis berlangsung. Thank you everyone who came to celebrate the meaningful day with us. And thanks for the bundle of wedding gifts!
